Renee Millner: “quality music for our souls”

Last Saturday the 16th at Fred Parker Lawn, Pukekura Park we saw a breathtaking compilation by great musicians. Led by Renee Millner, Australian singer and songwriter, who kept the connection with her audience the entire time. She opened up about her spiritual leader who passed away recently, her trip to South America sleeping on people’s couches, her previous gypsy life, and how we took things for granted before the virus.

We got to know her a bit better, appreciate her quality music and great values she brings to each song: intention, kindness and love. Her particularly deep voice, cool look and big smile made everyone smile back at her and connect immediately with her melodies. Always humble to share time with her audience after the show she offered her CD “In the world” for a very good price at only $15.00.

We also spoke with Mireya Ramos (violin) who at the moment lives in Wellington and came here just to be part of the event with Renee. She has been enjoying her stay in the capital, with many gigs and different local musicians. However she confessed to BiograView, coming to New Plymouth is something like coming back home. Upcoming events with Mireya will be posted on her websites mireyaramos.com and patreon.com, FB and Instagram.

Next chance to see Renee and her band will be Sunday 31 January at Shining Peak Brewing from 4pm, so bring families, friends, dates, everyone. We are so lucky to have this fabulous artist in New Plymouth. A new single will be released late February (venue t.b.a.). We are promised two more singles soon after that so watch this space.
